46 Years of Educational Assemblies!

Mobile Ed is thrilled to celebrate 46 years of educating and inspiring students through the power of entertainment! Since launching our very first school assembly in 1979, we have had the privilege of visiting over 100,000 schools across the country, enriching the educational journeys of millions of students. Our mission has always been to make learning fun, engaging, and impactful by delivering high-quality, interactive programs that spark curiosity and encourage a love for discovery.

Over the years, our team has worked to develop assemblies that align with academic standards while bringing subjects to life in ways that captivate students. We are deeply honored to support teachers in their efforts to inspire young minds, and we remain committed to evolving with the ever-changing educational landscape. As we celebrate this milestone, we look forward to continuing our tradition of excellence, innovation, and passion for learning—ensuring that future generations of students have access to engaging, meaningful educational experiences for years to come.

Our History

Larry_WhoodiniCombining education and entertainment began with Michigan teacher Larry Thompson. He believed that students learned best when they experienced his lesson firsthand, so he founded Mobile Ed Productions, Inc. to “bring the field trip to you”. Mobile Ed now provides thousands of educational assemblies to schools across the country each year.

Larry's passion for education, combined with his background in entertainment, led him to carve out a distinctive role in the world of learning. You may have even heard of him before! In addition to being a dedicated teacher, Larry was famously known as the magician Mr. Whoodini on the television show Bozo the Clown. Each morning, after filming episodes for the show, he could often be seen teaching his students still dressed in his costume!

Mobile Ed Today

Today, Mobile Ed is touring across the country, delivering engaging and educational experiences to thousands of students every year. With a diverse lineup of over 40 assemblies, Mobile Ed offers interactive programs covering a wide range of school subjects, including science, history, character building, reading, and writing. These assemblies are designed to make learning exciting, interactive, and most of all, memorable.

Mobile Ed is passionate about enhancing traditional education by providing students with unique opportunities that go beyond what is typically available in the classroom. Whether it's igniting curiosity through a live science experiment, immersing students in historical accounts, or taking a journey through outer space, each program is carefully crafted to align with curriculum standards while making learning both relevant and enjoyable.

How We Can Help

Mobile Ed assemblies offer unique educational experiences that leave a lasting impression. Our programs educate students through interactive experiences, professional presentations, and audience participation. Each program is designed to meet curriculum requirements and can be adapted to suit various grade levels, making this the perfect experience for your whole school. Ask your Regional Program Manager what programs are available in your area and what curriculum requirements our programs cover.

Mobile Ed's assembly programs are designed to help increase student engagement by combining education with entertainment. We incorporate costumes, hands-on activities, audience participation, and live demonstrations to capture students' attention and make challenging material approachable and intriguing for students. Mobile Ed assemblies are the perfect way to reengage students any time in the school year, especially before or after school breaks.

Inspire Graphic

Our favorite part about our work is seeing the smiles on students' faces as they leave our programs. By creating an exciting learning environment that encourages participation, students become naturally motivated to learn. Each of our programs connects the classroom to daily life by demonstrating the relevance of classroom knowledge and skills. Seeing the applicability of what we learn inside the classroom can help students become more active participants in their education, especially after experiencing how fun learning can be!

This month marks another successful year of educating students and empowering them through education. Though we celebrate today, we also look forward to continuing our legacy of educational entertainment to bring millions more students meaningful educational experiences.
