Depending upon what part of the country you live in, school may be already out, about to finish this week, or reaching it's end soon. Kids will be underfoot for awhile and most parents will soon be looking for ways to keep them occupied.
Well, here is a tip... teachers all know that following a summer vacation typically lasting somewhere from 8 to 12 weeks, the average kid needs about a month of school just to get back to where they were at the end of the previous year.
So what is a parent to do, armed with these two facts?
Coincidentally, I have a perfect answer! Professional educational school assemblies are great fun for kids. So much so that children do not even consider them as education, but rather just as fun. A high energy science assembly or a portable planetarium or live animal program will all entertain a group of kids but also keep their minds fresh and active so that the transition back into classrooms at summers end will pass so much more easily.
Of course, school is out so where do these assemblies take place?
The answer is limited only by your imagination! Mobile Ed has presented school assemblies in many locations and on many occasions never originally considered. Next week one of our live animal programs will be at a child's birthday party in a suburb of Chicago. The following week we will be presenting science assemblies and workshops at a summer camp in Ohio. The following week we will hold fort at a camp in Kentucky. Throughout the summer our programs encourage kids to get excited about science and learning through camp environments all over Michigan. And enterprising parents can likely come up with a multitude of other venues, from YWCA's to Scout Groups to, well ... you name it! Give us a call and we can probably make your idea work, too!
And the side benefit is that while they are so involved you, the overworked parent, can probably manage to get some of your other work done. Or maybe just get in a game of golf or a day at the salon or a lunch with a friend. Regardless... to this old mind, it would seem to be a win-win all around!
