California is a huge state, with many schools. As a result, though various tours of ours visit there each year, Mobile Ed has several performers who are full time residents on the West Coast, servicing schools there year round.
One of my favorites is Barry Cutler, an old friend, a great actor and a wonderful guy. Barry has enjoyed quite a remarkable career, on stage and in Film and Television. I first met him when a National Tour of A Christmas Carol came to a theatre with which I was affiliated at the time. Barry was an amazing Jacob Marley in that production, though he has appeared in various other productions as Scrooge himself.
We are blessed to have Barry as one of our performers. He is well remembered as The Parrot Man on Days of Our Lives but for his long list of television credits which includes appearances on Hill Street Blues, Scrubs, ER, Seinfeld and many more, in addition to appearances in feature films. Barry has worked with some simply amazing show business names.
Previously Barry has offered three of our programs in California schools. He is the wacky scientist in The Magic of Science, and this last year brought our super Math program, Imathimation, to West Coast students. But he is best known in schools for his amazingly entertaining and, moving portrayal of Abraham Lincoln.
Here is a comment from a school in Vacaville:
“Fantastic! Really brought Lincoln to life! Performer really knew his stuff and presented it well!”
Here is another this time from Chino:
“The program was one of the best I have seen for elementary students. The presenter did an awesome job!”
Well, this coming year schools looking for school enrichment programs in California will have a new opportunity in the field of Character Counts. This year Barry is offering our Character program Inspector Iwannano, and it is sure to be a great hit!
Make sure to call your representative soon as dates for Barry’s tour are sure to sell out!
