Great news for schools in New Jersey and New York seeking exciting an anti bullying school assembly this year!
This year Mobile Ed announced the creation of a brand new anti bullying school assembly program entitled Stronger Than a Bully. Meeting a long pent up demand for such a program, Stronger Than a Bully has met with unprecedented enthusiasm and is sold out already in many parts of the country and close to selling out everywhere.
As a result, Mobile Ed is especially pleased to announce that we have entered into an agreement with a new performer allowing us to now offer not only a second anti bullying show, but a really cool school assembly in it’s own right!
As of now, we are able to offer Shine Through, an awesome school show designed to help young people deal with bullying and find the strength to do what’s right and be themselves. Best of all, this new program is brought to schools by a performer not too much older than the kids themselves, and not too far removed from the same struggles. 19 year old Kristina Coia is young but already experienced in presenting this remarkable program in schools.
Shine Through is perfect for instilling confidence through positive character traits, and is also a powerful motivational tool.
“Shine Through is a motivational program which has gained national media attention over the last five years, and was developed to encourage positive values and morals through the eyes of a peer.
Shine Through is divided into three, easy to remember segments:
• Discovery: This stage deals with identifying peer pressure, self-doubt, and self-consciousness in your everyday life. Students are introduced to the pros and cons of “idolization” and informed that, to find your true self, you must take initiative.
• Experimentation: In this stage, the trademarked Purple Wig Theory is introduced, which is based on the idea that each of us has the right to be an individual, and to be happy as the person we were born to be.
• Being Comfortable with Who You Are: Here, students are encouraged to let go of all worries, and to begin their journey to self-confidence by Shining Through.
Unlike most other programs, Shine Through is presented by a peer who has just recently faced the same challenges as the students in the audience. Kids will relate to the message of Shine Through, in an open, interactive environment, in ways they simply cannot with an adult.”
Designed for Intermediate grades, Shine Through has also been modified to include a version for primary grades entitled Mirror, Mirror On The Wall, and which includes the crazy Purple Wig Theory, an essential part of the original program!
Sounds pretty cool, huh? But before you all get too excited, there is a downside. Being young has it’s limitations, and, for now, Kristina is limited to appearing in schools in New Jersey and parts of New York. But for New Jersey and New York schools, this is a great opportunity that they just might want to grab while they can! Ken Jacobs, our East Coast Representative is, as you can see, already getting into the "purple wig" spirit! Ooooh, that is a little scary, Ken! :-)
