Recently we spent time in Illinois attending the annual Centre East school assembly performers showcase in Skokie. One of our performers, Dick Buchholz, was there all day sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with school representatives from all over Northern Illinois.
Dick is resident in the Chicago land area and does performances in schools there year round, though for many years he toured the country for Mobile Ed performing in every possible situation. Dick handles our two natural science assemblies, Animals and the Environment and Reptiles are Cool.
Last Spring, Dick closed out his school year performances with a great day in the Plainfield District, entertaining, educating and enthralling students at Crystal lawns Elementary.
Mr. Tom Hernandez is the Director of Community Relations for the district and he was kind enough to share these pictures taken during the show that day. Thanks, Tom!
It sure looks like they are having fun to me!
But as much awesome fun as Dick’s presentation can be, it is also a great educational resource. Dick is the past president of the Chicago Herpetological Society, and a wealth of knowledge in the field of Natural Science and live animals.
If you represent a Chicago area school and have not selected your assemblies this year, I am sure we can arrange for Dick to visit your school.
