Still, smart schools realized this a long time ago and have found a solution. For years schools have been scheduling assemblies of various kinds to channel the energy of students in the day or two right before a break. Some will use an entertainment oriented assembly, but the smarter schools realize that it is still possible to continue educating kids by way of an educational assembly. Science assemblies or historical characters are just as great a diversion but hold the advantage of not squandering school time on something that is just fluff. A good educational school show is just as much fun for the kids, but they continue to learn while they laugh.
Next week is Thanksgiving of course, and our schedule shows that a lot of schools understand this lesson. Our performers will be hard at work providing needed pressure release for schools in Michigan, California,Ohio, Indiana,New Jersey and Wisconsin.
In most cases our shows are fully booked on Monday and Tuesday but many schools are no longer in session on Wednesday. As a result we have a few openings next Wednesday in the following states - California, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, New Jersey and Wisconsin. If your school is in one of those states and has not planned a show for next week you might give us a call. We even have a few slots open on Monday and Tuesday in Michigan, New Jersey, Indiana and Illinois. We have openings, depending on your area, for a variety of programs, such as Sky Dome Planetarium, The Magic of Science, Crime Scene Science, Animals and the Environment , Piankeshaw Trails and even one opening in Indiana for Stronger Than a Bully which is virtually sold out the rest of the year. So give us a call!
After all, which is more attractive, the prospect of fighting through three days trying to get out of control students to pay attention, or sitting back and listening to the sound of happy kids laughing and enjoying themselves while we do all the work? Is there really more than one answer to this question? :-)
