Michigan School Assembly Performers and Family Holidays

Written by Geoff Beauchamp | Tue, Nov 22, 2011

Mobile Ed Productions sends wonderful school assembly performers from Michigan (and a few other states) out on the road every year in August to begin touring to schools pretty much all over the country. It is a rambling, crazy way of life alternating between the exhilaration of performing great school shows in front of happy kids and teachers and the loneliness of empty hotel rooms and long miles on the road. Thanksgiving and other family oriented holidays, usually give us an opportunity to get home for a few well earned days with loved ones.

This week we have performers in Michigan, close to home, entertaining students in Portage, Michigan with Mime and Creative Writing. We have students in Royal Oak, Michigan learning about science and The Invisible Wonder. While up in Alanson, Michigan we are introducing students to the entire globe with the wonderful Earth Dome (Earth Balloon). Just to the south in Ohio, our neighbors in Marion and Ashville are being dazzled by the Sky Dome Planetarium while others in the Dayton area are thrilling to The Magic of Science. Across the state line to the west we have Dave Mitchell's virtually sold out tour of  Stronger Than a Bully cruising through several schools in northern Indiana, while our Native American program, Piankeshaw Trails, mesmerizes excited kids in the same part of the state. Further west, and a little to the north, electrons and ram jet engines are firing the imaginations of students as Physics Is Fun lands in a couple of schools in Janesville, Wisconsin. Back east in New Jersey, schools in Chester are digging on the Earth Dome, just as the students in Michigan are. While over in Beachwood, New Jersey our Inspector Iwannano is reinforcing some Character Counts lessons through a careful application of laughter and mirth. And that is just to mention a few. Performers from our great, wide, wonderfully diverse family of crazy, kooky school assembly performers are in schools, towns and states all over this beautiful country. Even way out west in lovely Half Moon Bay, California, where our wacky Magic of Science is spinning kids into fits of science inspired glee, all across the USA, our marvelous and awesome crew are working their magic.

But not on Thursday. No. Not this Thursday.

One way or another, this Thursday our crazy crew will hopefully have all worked their way back to their homes and their families, to enjoy  a good meal in the company of their loved ones. To those of you who cannot make it home this year, we will keep a seat open at the table and save some leftovers for you! Bless you all!

And on this day, we will all give thanks to you, our clients, the teachers, principals and parents all over this country who place your honest faith in us every year to bring a little wonder into the schools where your kids live. We give thanks for this great opportunity you grant to us to help in some small measure in teaching the leaders of tomorrow, and we promise to live up to your expectations and to exceed them whenever we can.

Thanks for your trust! Thanks to you all!

From our family at Mobile Ed Productions to all of you across the country, here is wishing you a happy, hearty, wonderful Thanksgiving! Lets eat! ( Oh... and Go Lions!)
