With all the talk of Dave Mitchell’s stunning anti bullying school assembly - Stronger Than a Bully - we sometimes neglect to mention that his first program for us - Ben Franklin - is actually a stunner in itself!
Dave Mitchell came to us a few years back, making the long drive up to Michigan from his home in the green hills of Tennessee. He brought us a school assembly he had been working on and we were blown away. His Ben Franklin was absolutely magnificent! We started scheduling him in schools right away, and the rest is history (yes, pun intended!).
But not really, of course, as each year Dave has created something new for our schools and now has programs on Reading and Math in addition to his Stronger Than a Bully and Ben Franklin programs. For next year he will even offer schools a different version of Stronger Than a Bully so that schools can invite this important program back a second time without watching exactly the same thing.
Yesterday Mr. Franklin made an appearance down in southern Indiana, in the town of Princeton. The local paper, the Princeton Daily Clarion even put him on page one this morning! (http://tristate-media.com/image_3525380e-6cc9-11e1-aa14-001871e3ce6c.html )
By the way, Brumfield Elementary has had all of Dave’s programs!
So if, as this Spring rolls around, you are sorting through school assembly ideas for next year, think about Dave Mitchell, as he covers all the bases in great style. But don’t delay! His tour is selling our for next year in some states already!
