Mobile Ed has been producing school shows and school assemblies for a long time. More than thirty years to be exact. In that time we have sent our awesome shows into many cities and states across this great country. We now visit some 6000 schools a year in more than thirty states!
But when it comes to the great and wonderful state of Georgia we have been somewhat remiss.
Other than a very small number of cross border raids from Tennessee into the northern counties, we have not spent much time there at all. Sky Dome mobile planetarium and Young Authors Day have both made appearances in places like Chatsworth, in Murray County, but other than that, the state basically knows nothing at all about our awesome school shows.
Well, that is about to change!
This year we have two of our best performers, carrying a combined total of seven of our very best and most exciting school shows making dedicated trips into peach-eating country!
Beginning in the early Fall, we have dates this year available with our champion science educator David Killion. David, the son of an elementary school principal, is one of the performers bringing our mobile planetarium - Sky Dome -to schools. In addition, he offers The Earth Dome (aka The Earth Balloon), as well as a knock out science show called Physics is Fun. The latter not only is available as a straight forward but rocking science assembly, but also offers the option of turning your gym into a hands on science center for the day with the ability to allow for nearly 500 students to take part. David, along with his three totally different schools shows, will be visiting Georgia in September.
The other tour also involves one of our very best school assembly performers. David Mitchell presents four different shows, and all are unique, and totally outstanding. His shows are just a blast to watch! David is the performer for Imathimation, our mathematics show, as well as for Reading: More Than Words. Lately, though, we have had his schedule absolutely jam-packed with his most recent show, Stronger Than a Bully, which received universally stellar reviews all year in 11-12. Finally, David makes the world’s greatest Ben Franklin! You have to see it to believe it, as this sweet curmudgeonly old fellow charms the socks off of children while also introducing them to many of the aspects of this Founding Father’s life. David will be in Georgia in February offering all four of his outstanding school assemblies.
So, there you have it!
