Combining education with entertainment is what we do best at Mobile Ed. In under five minutes, you can add a sensory experience to your fall science lesson this season with one of students’ favorite trending toys: slime!
Whether you love it or hate it, slime is an exciting sensory activity for kids of all ages. Slime is considered “sensory play” which is a fantastic way to engage students’ senses and encourage curiosity. Sensory play is known to help children build nerve connections in brain pathways which then aids children in completing complex tasks, providing benefits that can enhance a student’s daily experience. For some students, slime can be a relaxing and regulating activity, engaging in senses that promote calmness and emotional balance. In addition, keeping their hands busy can help students focus as they concentrate deeply on the textures, sounds, and movements involved in the activity.
Here is an easy slime recipe with a fall twist to do in your classroom or at home this season. You’ll even find most of the materials already in your classroom!
