STEAM Museum for National Catholic Schools Week

Posted on Mon, Feb 26, 2018

In November, 2017, St. Veronica School in Howell was awarded a $1,000.00 grant from the Manasquan Bank Charitable Foundation to use for the advancement of the school’s STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) program. The well-deserved funds were used to bring Mobile Ed’s STEAM Museum, a portable field trip, to the school on Friday, February 2nd during Catholic Schools Week. It’s an honor to be a part of this moment!

The program was set up in St. Veronica’s gym, turning it into a hands-on children’s museum focused on STEAM education. National Catholic Schools Week was celebrated January 28 - February 4 this year.

While our beloved STEAM Museum was visiting St. Veronica, their talented videographers made this outstanding video.  In it, you'll see some of the different hands-on exhibits in action and lots of smiles, as well as testimonies from kids who just couldn't get enough.  They also make a great point on how Mobile Ed's STEAM Museum can be integrated into a Catholic school's STREAM (the R is for Religion) program seamlessly.

Take a look!

The STEAM Museum captivates students by being fun for everyone involved: it turns education into an exciting and interactive adventure, creating an environment where every student can learn while having a blast! It features many educational exhibits, including:
Virtual Reality Expeditions
3D Printer
Programmable Robots
Electronic Digital Microscopes
And even a bicycle that turns our motion energy into electricity!

Students will not only be learning about different topics such as technology, simple machines, computer programming, gear ratios, geometry, friction, gravity, and conservation of energy but will also acquire soft skills for life! In STEAM Museum, teamwork and problem-solving are developed as well!
