Today marks an anniversary in Chicago, Illinois. On this day in 1961, the first section of the Dan Ryan Expressway was opened.
Mobile Ed performers are very familiar with the Dan Ryan, as we travel it often bringing our assembly programs into Chicago from Michigan or where ever they have been the week before.
Well, I didn’t know this existed, but apparently today is a special day! Today, May 17, is apparently Museum Memory Day when we are supposed to share a great memory of a visit to a museum. Look here:

I love National Public Radio! Listening to NPR on my way to the office in the morning I often hear about things that are fascinating and about which I knew nothing before.
Here is something to remember! Next Sunday we leave Daylight Savings Time, at 2 AM local time. So don’t forget to set your clocks back an hour at that time or you will be really early to Church that morning!
It is Fall and a lot of schools are looking for things to do with the kids to break up the daily grind of classroom work and augment the educational process through a field trip. And there is nothing wrong with field trips! We all love taking trips to cool destinations. Trips to a Planetarium or the Zoo or a historical site all contribute mightily to a students education and can spark the imagination in countless ways.
