Our Story

A school teacher and administrator in the Livonia Public Schools, Larry Thompson knew there was a need to make his school lessons more enjoyable for his students and saw a lack of assemblies available for schools. Thompson, as seen in this photo, was also a televised magician and sidekick to Bozo the Clown known as Mr. Whoodini. After airing the show each morning, he’d run over to his classroom to start teaching (sometimes still in his costume!). His students thought this was so cool! Larry Thompson founded Mobile Ed Productions, Inc. with his father-in-law, Norman Seay, in Redford, Michigan, back in 1979 to bring a little magic to his classroom.

We hate to break the news, but August is here, and with it, the beginning of a new school year. As the school year nears and summer comes to a close, many of us begin the lamenting process of saying goodbye to the warmer weather, the extra family time, and the rest and relaxation associated with this particular season.
